Hummingbird: Literally everybody in China uses a proxy or other method to get around China's great firewall. It's super common
Also China's middle class is EXPLODING. It's a huge growth market for the tech industry.
i don't know whether i should laugh, or run screaming into the night.. tonights "local needs" was titled "are you following 'the slave' "?.
the theme scripture was 1 peter 2: 21. it was applied that by following jesus steps closely we would then be able to keep up with 'the slave'.
now i don't know about others, but if i were to follow one person and that meant to keep up with someone else, it would mean that the person i was following was following the other person.

Fucking hilarious. Just a few years ago brothers were told not to be materialistic and buying electronic gadgets (i fucking hate that word). I remember demonstrations where a brother pretty much fell out of the truth because he was too busy reading manuals for whatever toy he bought. Now they're supposed to buy all this shit.
Also, what idiot approved a 1,000 computer to hook up to a projector? You could do that with any machine. Sounds like you have some idiots on the elder body lol.
application to become a bethel family member in the worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovahs witnesses.this application form should always be accompanied by the letter to bethel applicants (a-9) and the letter to those applying for theocratic schools, bethel service, or other forms of special full-time service (a-63).
husband and wife should complete separate applications.
after its approval, the application form should be scanned and sent to the branch as a pdf file through the inbox feature of the jw.org web site.
It's interesting they ask for an email address. They definitely aren't going to email you for anything. I suspect they use that to internet detective the applicant.
our kingdom ministry september 2014 pdf.
instruction: press the 'skip ad' button top right, you should then see the download screen more easily.
no virus ;-).
Those numbers have no context. There's so few publishers that if two people decide to pioneer, they'll get a dumb increase like that.
to all bodies of elders.
the public witnessing supplies form (s-80) is also available at the forms link.
the congregation secretary should arrange for this letter to be retained in the congregation permanent file of policy letters.
Typical. They do anything to take themselves off the hook legally but they pretty much are forcing witnesses to do this.
i read on here posts about looming lawsuits and/or mulit-million dollar settlements that have struck fear into the wt society.. we all know about the candace conti case.
it gained enough notoriety through news outlets.
and i know that there are many many more accusations and cases against brothers and former brothers.
There's been several documented in the news. Unfortunately the exact $$$$ handed out is often not known because of out of court agreements and gag orders.
about a week ago, i had my "encouraging visit!
" it was real last minute, and i said , "yes!
" they were not expecting that, and they missed their dinner.
Can you post the audio portion where the dude says to preach what the magazines say even if it's wrong?
it seems i am going to have to teach people to use a tablet as part of my job and i don't even have one!
any advice would be most helpful please.. i keep reading blurb on amazon etc and now i'm really confused.
what should i buy?
do you want to janitor your tablet and deal with lousy buggy crashy apps? Get an android tablet. do you want something that just works? Get an iPad.
okay, some good takeaway:.
i have never been to a convention quite like this before.
a very friendly vibe all around, lots of banners and posters with sayings like "sending love to all our brothers", "see you in the paradise", "ecuador sends greetings", and "jehovahs-witness.net" (okay, i lied on that last one...).
ahahaha yeah there we go. it seems the dramas are much worse now. they've run out of the good bible stories so they've resorted to making shit up. "This is what it could have been like in first century jerusalem." They set up these ridiculous stories to shoe horn in some lesson. The lessons are so on the nose it's not even funny.
so in the 5-4 decision today, the courts said an employer could not be forced to cover things mandated by the aca (specifically birth control was the point of contention), if doing so would violate their religious beliefs.. nuts.
just nuts.. here is what ruth ginsberg wrote in her dissent.
its 35 pages, but this stood out to me for obvious reasons.. "would the exemption...extend to employers with religiously grounded objections to blood transfusions (jehovah's witnesses); antidepressants (scientologists); medications derived from pigs, including anesthesia, intravenous fluids, and pills coated with gelatin (certain muslims, jews, and hindus); and vaccinations[?
At Bethel it all depends on who you are and how important you are. If the average joe gets some sort of illness or chronic condition, buh bye. If it's a GB member or Branch, they'll spend every dime to give him medical treatment.
Bethelites do have some sort of insurance card to carry in case of emergencies such as an ER visit out of town. I'm not sure what actually happens if they have to use it.
